How do I change my mailing address?

Please submit your request in writing indicating the correct address for your property and a daytime phone number where you can be reached, in case we have questions. For you convenience we have provided a Change of Address form on our website; however you are not required to use the form. You may also:

Can I change my mailing address by phone?

In order to protect the property owner, it is TCAD’s policy not to make permanent address changes over the telephone.

 

What do I do if the ownership does not reflect the current ownership of a property?

TCAD uses deed records recorded with the Travis County Clerks office to correct ownership information.  Verify that your deed has been filed with the Travis County Clerk (512) 854-9188.  After 90 days from the date of the closing on a property, if the appraisal records do not reflect the current ownership, please contact the Travis Central Appraisal District at (512) 834-9317.

 

When will my name reflect as owner if I purchased a property that has been split into a condo?

If you purchased a property that will be split after January 1st, then the ownership will not be updated until the following calendar year.
