TRAVIS CENTRAL APPRAISAL DISTRICT TO HOST HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION TOWN HALL
AUSTIN, Texas – The Travis Central Appraisal District will host a Homestead Exemption Town Hall on Saturday, Feb. 8, to educate local property owners on how to use exemptions to lower their property taxes. Travis County Tax Assessor-Collector Bruce Elfant and Texas State Senator Kirk Watson will be in attendance to discuss property tax deferrals, payment plans, and how to claim an exemption on a property that was inherited without a will. Assistance will be available for property owners to complete and submit exemption applications at the event.
